Lea Valley Half Marathon – 24 March 2019 for Help and Hope for the Homeless

Hi guys

I am pleased to say that I am running the Lea Valley Half Marathon on 24 March 2019.

Penn Chambers Solicitors pledges to raise at least £5,000 each year for small charities.

Small because we like to see the money go straight to the coalface. That is a commitment to raising each year:

£1,250 in March

£1,250 in June

£1,250 in September

£1,250 in December

We take our begging bowl to all our family, friends and colleagues usually twice a year in June and December to try to raise £1,250 for each of those periods. When we fall short, Penn Chambers Solicitors picks up the tab for the remainder to make sure that whatever charity is nominated does not lose out on valuable funds to carry on their sterling work.

In March and September of each year we do not seek to raise funds from families, friends etc and just pay the money direct out of Penn Chambers Solicitors coffers.

So this March quarter, I will still run in aid of charity but Penn Chambers Solicitors has kindly again agreed to pay £1,250 for the pain!

This quarters money will be paid to Help and Hope for the Homeless. They are not a charity in the strict legal sense but their cause is no less deserving.

They are a small husband and wife team of Lloyd and Shoshana Gilmore who go out each week come what may to help the homeless in London.

I and all at Penn Chambers Solicitors are humbled by their efforts.

We shall be handing a cheque over to them shortly after the race is completed and will be pleased to share that with you.

Thank you to Lloyd and Shoshana and all the volunteers at Help and Hope for the Homeless for their unstinting work for those in need.

Shak and the team at Penn Chambers Solicitors
